A 'flying saucer' assembly hall: Fascinating photography book reveals that Soviet architecture wasn't always dreary

Soviet Cities was created by Russian photographer Arseniy Kotov after a tour of post-Soviet republics. He stayed in over 200 cities between 2016 and 2020 and noticed unique buildings along the way. Mr Kotov says: 'I wanted to show where Soviet people lived and how Soviet cities once looked'.
