Bill Turnbull has revealed that he ‘howls like a child’ on bad days over his cancer battle.presenter discovered he has incurable prostate cancer in 2017, by which time the disease had spread to his spine, ribs, pelvis, hips and legs.

The 64-year-old tries to have ‘moments of joy’ every day despite the devastating diagnosis, but admitted the emotional toll can be crippling at times.‘You have a really bad day and howl like a… I was going to say like a child, but it’s even worse than that.’recently, added that he ‘hates’ being on his own now because he goes into a ‘dark place’.He said: ‘If Sesi [his wife Sarah] is there with me, it’s fine because I can lean on her. She helps me. I hate being on my own now.

Bill has since had nine rounds of chemotherapy and is keeping the cancer under control with hormone therapy and radium injections to target the tumours in his bones.
