"With infection rates still high, many firms are experiencing significant staff absences and will be cautious about teams rushing back to the office when that could result in further absences," director general Shevaun Haviland said. The TUC called for a better sick pay offer from government amid concerns that many workers will be infected and have to take time off on statutory sick pay.

If your not unless your medically unable to you should be fired

This has everything to do with helping the local economy recover however life has changed forever. Even if there is a return to the office it is likely to be at the employee discretion how many days/hours etc
