Japan airlines got it right. A 10+ hour flight often isn't just the flight time. My closest airport is 4h away, which means I have to be there 2h before the flight, therefore leave at least 6 to 7h and often wake up at least 2h before that plus the commute to my destination...

In 30 years I've caught hundreds of domestic and long distance flights. There has never been the much discussed non stop screaming baby or child. The occasional infant crying on take off but that's about it. Is this something people worry about more than actually experience?
