The women spoke out almost a week after the former SNP leader was cleared of the 13 charges he had been facing - including an allegation of attempted rape - by a jury at the High Court in Edinburgh.
"We are devastated by the verdict. However it is our fervent hope that as a society we can move forward in our understanding of sexual harassment and sexual assault."Mr Salmond and his lawyer Gordon Jackson QC observed social distancing protocol as they congratulated each other outside court Mr Jackson told the jury:"If in some ways the former first minister had been a better man, I wouldn't be here, you wouldn't be here, none of us would be here."In his closing speech, the lawyer said the case against the former first minister"stinks" - saying it comes from"this political bubble with no real independent support".
"It was our hope, as individuals, that through coming forward at this time we could achieve justice and enact change.

Scotland devastated that the BBC & Alphabet women cannot accept the verdict & show 'Contempt' for the rule of law. The mainly women jury heard 'all' the evidence presented to them, including the evidence hidden from the Public & deemed Alex Innocent.
All accusations historic with no hard evidence ,not surprised they failed .

If they believed that taking the case to court was 'the right thing to do' why did they wait until Police Scotland instigated the enquiry? It isn't possible to change history to suit current narrative.
'We hope through shining a light on our experiences, it will serve to protect and empower women in the future.' But there was little or no light according to the in depth scrutiny of the court. It was not found to be true. You have to find new evidence or stop saying this.
One of Salmond's accusers wasn't even at the event where she said Salmond assaulted her. How could such evidence not have been checked? Salmond has been failed. So too have women bringing forward such accusations against other men in the future.

Devastated that their attempts to smear an innocent man have failed on both internal procedures and the justice system. Now they are trying via the court of public opinion and will fail. These soft indy supporters wont last long in the party once the details are out.

I expect the innocent man - Alex Salmond is pretty devastated about being dragged through this. He was also named and shamed for months on end.
