More than 60 Afghan civilians killed and 150 wounded - report

Mr Kirby confirmed a number of Afghans have also died, adding:"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones and teammates of all those killed and injured."Ressella Miccio, president of Emergency NGO hospital in Kabul, says the facility is currently"overwhelmed" with patients from the blast.Speaking to Sky News, she says all of those arriving are civilians and staff are trying to triage people constantly during a"very difficult situation".
He says the"overwhelming majority" of people have already been evacuated and it has been a"totally phenomenal effort". Home Secretary Priti Patel was at the airport to greet the arrivals, although it appears she has since left to attend an emergency COBRA meeting chaired by Boris Johnson.It's become the latest ally to announce it can no longer continue evacuating people from Kabul.
Sky's political correspondent Joe Pike says the prime minister will now have a"menu of options" for what to do next, with one option being to immediately remove British forces.Pike adds we will likely hear from Boris Johnson or another senior cabinet minister after the COBRA meeting has finished.Ashraf, who was near the airport at the time of the explosion, says the attack happened as the evening prayer was about to take place.

"He said that the explosion was near to us and it was strong. He said that it was like doomsday with injured people everywhere," Haynes said.
