A couple who filmed themselves sexually abusing 25 children as young as eight months old were branded ‘two of the most wicked criminals in Texas history’.
Christopher Almaguer and his wife Sarah, both 27, were condemned by prosecutor John F Bash as they were jailed for 60 years Wednesday.
The ‘serial child abusers’, who have five children, targeted their own relatives, as well as children they babysat, knew from church, and lived close to their home in Killeen, Texas.
Bash added: ‘”The nature of the abuse was unimaginable…these kids’ suffering and abuse will continue for their entire lives because those images will be continually shared online
Their vile abuse was rumbled in February 2018 after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children contacted the Texas attorney general’s office after with a tip about the clips.
Facebook had reported one of its users for uploading a child porn video.
Further investigation found that account belonged to Sarah Almaguer, and that it was home to 15 clips of adults sexually assaulting young children as well as babies.
A subsequent search of the Almaguers’ home found ‘numerous’ child porn videos on Sarah Almaguer’s phone.
She told cops she had a ‘long term, secret relationship’ with her brother-in-law Paul Perez, 25.
Almaguer added that Perez had told her ‘to have sexual contact with children and then send him the videos and/or pictures through Facebook Messenger,’ the Texas Attorney General’s Office said.
She kept one of the videos on one of her own accounts, for which Perez had been given a password.
The Almaguers admitted sexually exploiting children and creating child porn in October.
Perez, who is Christoper Almaguer’s brother, admitted receiving the child abuse clips in September, and has been jailed for 20 years.
