50 Fabulous LFW Photos From The Last Decade

makeover, it asked seasoned fashion photographer Darren Gerrish to share his favourite 50 photographs from the last decade.

Of how he condensed his edit of show images, fly-on-the-wall party pictures and street-style snaps, Gerrish tells British, “It’s all about emotions for me. I simply went for an image of a person or a moment that made me remember how happy I was, how excited I was, and how lucky I was to be there to capture it.”

Picking a favourite season is somewhat harder. “Twice a year, London Fashion Week is still a highlight of my work,” he says. “To photograph these wondrous moments still gets me, every single time.” But, getting a call from the BFC to hotfoot it over toto capture the Queen on the front row was rather fabulous, Gerrish recalls.

As for the parties, “it would be unfair to choose,” Gerrish admonishes, ever the diplomat. “What I can say is that, after a day of shows, a party just lights my fire. It’s the best release! Models, VIPs and fashion folk all in one room having fun – all I have to do is say, ‘Hi!’, and capture it.”. “London Fashion Week for me just gets better and better,” he enthuses. Here, the most amiable lensman, who is famed for his signature beret and infectious smile, shares his capital city highlights.
