Emmerdale fans had lots to say during this evening's episode, as a couple of dramatic storylines continued to play out. Tonight's episode saw two well-known villagers in a car crash, while another suffered a health scare.

Nicola continued to battle her PTSD and panic attacks, following her traumatic mugging and physical assault. The terrifying ordeal has now left Nicola with a form of agoraphobia, as she panics at the prospect of going outside.

During tonight's episode, she battled to leave her front door, eventually rushing to her car and securing herself inside. But, even in the safety of her car, Nicola's mind was on her cruel attack at the hands of a gang of teenage girls.

As she drove to pick the kids up from school, distracted Nicola accidentally crashed into David's van - leaving the business owner irate and screaming at her. This did nothing to help matters, with already-traumatised Nicola now panicking even more.

And fans were quick to call out David's behaviour, with many telling him to back off and some even suggesting that they wished the crash had caused him serious injury. Viewer @VinnieHerrett took to Twitter and said: "Shut your gob David", while @fieldy56 commented: "David's reaction is completely irrational. Someone you know in a small village, one if your customers, collides with you, with little damage... You'd just check that they were okay, surely?"

@Thomthetank said: "Nicola should’ve done us a favour and killed David". And @Bobbywilde2 said: "Why is David such a b*****d?"

After the crash, which did not really cause much damage at all, Nicola could be seen crying on her sofa having locked herself in her house. Concerned neighbours could be heard banging on her door and asking her what was going on.

But it was not just Nicola and David stirring up drama this evening, as Chas and Al's affair continued to rile audiences. Chas's mum suffered a breathing difficulty just yards from the illicit couple, which encouraged Chas to call the whole thing off.

However, it did not convince fans as some have said that the affair is "on and off more than a light switch". @BnmPlanet said: "You know Chas I feel it is going to be on & off You need something to take your mind of mum death & Al is love rat anyway".

Commenting on Chas calling the affair off, @DionPetrie said: "For how long Chas". And @AVFCLil said: "Never thought a couple with make my skin crawl like Charity and Mackenzie. Turns out Al and Chas are just as bad".
