Jodie Comer's chopped off her hair into a textured midi-cut

It's the texture for me.

Jodie Comer has a new hair cut. But not any hair cut, her new textured midi cut by Sam McKnight is peak phwoarrr. The legendary hair stylist is known for his incredible Little Black Book of A-list clients, which includes everyone from Kate Moss to the late Princess Diana.

And, he's not a stranger to spontaneous cuts at a split-seconds notice. He famously gave Lady Di her iconic crop moments before a major photoshoot. So, we're confident Sam didn't sweat a bit when he gave Jodie a brand new 'do over a cuppa in his kitchen.

The hair stylist uploaded an Instagram post of Jodie rocking her freshly chopped hair with the caption “Jodie gets the chop! The divine @jodiecomer left my kitchen a few inches lighter this evening #coolgirlhair #happyendings @hairbysammcknight #hair #haircut #layers.”

And it seems Jodie was thrilled with the result. “Lucky me getting my very own @sammcknight1 kitchen cut!” she shared on her Instagram stories.

But, it's not just the circumstance in which her hair was cut that's baller (we're imagining our gal Jodie with her head tipped over the kitchen sink). The cut itself is bang on trend for 2022. It's giving us sexy collarbone grazing length and tons of mussy layers to add oomph and shape.

The cool-girl textured midi is the perfect cut if you're trying to grow out a bob or if you fancy working your way shorter slowly but surely. It's a very chic middle ground. Even better, everything about this cut is low-maintenance, from the length, which is long enough to tie up, to the subtle side bangs which introduce a loose curtain fringe that can either be pulled forward to make a statement, or swept to the side and out of your face.

And, if you're thinking of giving the trend a go yourself, we know just the products to give that perfect casual “undone” vibe. Sam's sorted us out with his very own Cool Girl Barely There Texture Mist for an effortlessly laid back texture and the limited edition Happy Endings Nourishing Balm to hydrate ends and lock-in definition. Yum.
