The HBO Universe is getting smaller by the day, as eagle-eyed fans have spotted that Kristin Davis – AKA Charlotte in Sex and The City and And Just Like That – also made an appearance in the beloved sitcom, Friends

You'd be right in thinking this sounds a little familiar, as SATC fans collectively went wild after finding out that the late Willie Garson, AKA Carrie Bradshaw's best friend Stanford, also made an appearance in Friends. Small world, eh?

While Willie Garson played Steve Cera in the sitcom (the guy who becomes Ross Geller's enemy after he moves into his building), Kristin Davis played Erin, who had a brief fling with Joey Tribbiani. And it turns out, she was pretty nervous about the whole thing.

The late actor might have been an enemy of Ross Gellar but he was a beloved friend to Carrie.

In an interview with Today, Kristin said, “I remember losing sleep. Sex and the City was in production, but I was nervous to be the tiny character of Erin, losing sleep, partly because of the live audience, but partly because you're in this world that has been created that is so alive and so specific and you're trying to make sure you're fitting yourself in there properly.”

Kristin continued, "I remember, like, 'Will I set that joke up OK? Will Matt (LeBlanc) be happy? Will I just go blank?' Things go through your head when you're in those situations that are heightened like that. Obviously, it was the highest of the high at that point."

While Erin and Joey weren't compatible in the end (even though they shared a brief smooch), Rachel and Phoebe ended up befriending her and were gutted when she and Joey didn't work out. With Kristin's SATC obligations, it was probably for the best.

It turns out that Kristin also had a minor role in the first season of ER. In her interview with Today, Kristen confessed that she and George Clooney actually bunked off the set to go and watch the Friends cast film the legendary "The One With All The Poker" episode.

She explained, "We sat up in the stands and watched them rehearse and it was so funny and amazing. And James Burrows was directing, whom I love so much, and to watch that show and then see that show on the air and to see that chemistry that the cast had come together.

“They were so on it in terms of their voices and their characters and the beats, and they just knew what they were doing, and I remember being blown away by their confidence level and their synergy as a group.”

Serious question: just how many more Friends/Sex and The City crossovers are there? Watch this space.
