In tonight's episode, Florence battled with her decision and initially turned down the role.

But after a heart-to-heart with Commissioner Selwyn Patterson and some wise words from Neville about facing your fears, Florence agreed to the new job.

Florence returned to the place where her fiancé Patrice was murdered and told Commissioner Patterson that a part of her died when she lost him.

A heartbroken Florence told him: "I really want this job but I feel angry for myself being so afraid."

"Don’t be, fear can keep you safe," the Commissioner reassured her.

She remarked: "But it can imprison you."

The commissioner explained that he could put the decision on a temporary hold until she was completely sure.

Neville then helped Florence make her mind up when he decided to face his fears and jump out of a place as part of the investigation.

After deciding to face her own fears, Florence accepted the role and said an emotional goodbye to Neville.

Viewers were heartbroken as they watched Florence leave San Marie.
