Olivia Munn's mother knits 'Bernie Sanders' mittens' for her newborn baby Malcolm... who she shares with beau John Mulaney

Olivia Munn and her boyfriend John Mulaney welcomed their first child together in November after going public with their romance in May.

And on Thursday, the actress revealed that her mother had hand knitted a pair of mittens for their newborn son that were meant to resemble the ones famously worn by Bernie Sanders at Joe Biden's 2020 inauguration.

'My mom made Malcolm Bernie Sanders' mittens,' captioned Munn, who shared a shot of Malcolm rocking his new mittens.

She also included a snap of Bernie for comparison.

Malcom was being carried in a baby carrier - seemingly strapped to Mulaney's chest - and had a cozy grey beanie on his head.

Earlier in the week, Olivia shared an image of the newly divorced comedian, 39, planting a kiss on the infant, while she, 41, dubbed their baby 'the smooshiest smoosh.'

The trio looked to be settling into family life quite nicely, now made easier by the fact that Mulaney and estranged wife Anna Marie Tendler officially finalized their divorce last week.

Mulaney's doting dad side was out in full force as he kissed their tiny son's neck while cradling him.

Olivia made sure to point out in her caption that their 'Christmas tree was still up' as reflected in the home's glass doors.

The pair welcomed their son Malcolm on November 24. She posted the first official snap of the baby on Christmas Eve, calling him 'My Golden Ox baby.'

Two weeks before she gave birth, John was reportedly trying to 'speed up' his and Tendler's divorce, even hiring new lawyers to aid in the process.

It was said the Big Mouth actor wanted to 'get the divorce done' as he was 'becoming a father' and thus switched to a firm that was known for being 'tough and efficient' per Page Six

On January 6 it was announced that he and Tendler, 36, were legally divorced following six years of marriage. They had reportedly split in October 2020, but news they were divorcing only came out in May 2021.

Days later he sparked romance rumors with Munn, and in September he confirmed they were expecting a child together. But as Malcolm was born in November, fans were quick to point out that the purported 'May' timeline did not add up.

Amid the drama and secrecy shrouding her pregnancy and their dating timeline, Munn told the LA Times that she preferred to keep quiet and focus on their baby.

'If I try to say anything, I run the risk of being called messy or not telling the truth. The only way to win, for me, is to pull back and to not play the game at all.

'There's this vulnerability that I feel that makes me want to...just turn everything off. I'd rather close the door to that and just take care of myself and my baby.'
