Gogglebox star Sophie Sandiford has confirmed a big career move by opening up a new business.

The reality star confirmed in late 2020 that she had left her job at Debenhams, and subsequently embarked on training as a florist.

Well, it seems to have all paid off now, as Sophie has unveiled her brand new floristry business, named Petali Floristry, on her Instagram Stories.

Launching yesterday (January 12), the business shared an Instagram Story showing Sophie in action, and confirmed in its debut post: "We are pleased to announce the start of our new florist service, we are excited to create beautiful fresh floral designs for any occasion."

Fans have already sent their best wishes to Sophie, one commenting on the post: "Best of luck Sophie in your new career."

"Wishing you the best of luck on your new venture!" another added, while fellow Gogglebox star Izzi Warner posted heart eye emojis on a post of one of their arrangements.

It's been a pretty exciting year all round in the Sandiford family, with Sophie's brother and fellow sofa-watcher Pete tying the knot with wife Paige and welcoming a baby together.

That's on top of their recent interaction with pop superstar Mariah Carey, who sent the siblings a message after they compared her to Jane McDonald on the show.

"She is. She's America's Jane," Sophie said after Pete suggested she was America's version of the UK singer (and all-round national treasure).

"I'm America's Jane!!!?!??" Mariah responded on social media. "Thank you gorgeous!!!" while Jane herself tweeted: "Wow!!!! Well I must be the UK's Mariah! Merry Christmas Mariah".

Gogglebox airs on Channel 4.
