Johnny Knoxville has confirmed that Bam Margera will make an appearance in the upcoming fourth movie Jackass Forever.

Margera claimed in February 2021 that he had been fired from the project for breaching his contract and alleged that studio Paramount had forced him to take antidepressants, while also claiming his stunts had been stolen.

Director Jeff Tremaine obtained a restraining order against Margera in June 2021, alleging Margera sent him and his family death threats.

Margera then filed a lawsuit in August 2021 against Paramount, Knoxville and Tremaine, alleging he had been wrongfully fired from the project. Attorneys for Paramount, Knoxville, Tremaine and others refuted this, saying "Margera's lawsuit is baseless. His claims seeking to enjoin Jackass Forever improperly target Defendants' protected speech and are precluded as a matter of law. Separate and apart from its legal insufficiency, Margera's complaint is riddled with outright lies."

Knoxville has now revealed that Margera does appear in one stunt in the film and is listed among the movie's performers, telling Variety: "We wanted him all throughout the movie, but unfortunately that's not the way it worked out.

"It's really heartbreaking. I love Bam. We all love Bam. He's our brother, you know? You just hope that he takes it upon himself to get the help that he needs, because we all care about him a lot."

Knoxville also commented on Margera's lawsuit, replying when asked if he was surprised by it: "Yes and no. Because he's in such a way that anything's possible. So, something will break your heart — but it might not shock you."

Previously addressing Margera's original allegations, the star told GQ last year: "We want Bam to be happy and healthy and get the help he needs. We tried to push that along. I think that's all I really want to say about it.

"I don't want to get into a public back-and-forth with Bam. I just want him to get better."
