Emily In Paris became a cultural phenomenon when it hit our screens at the end of last year, and pack your bags, because season two is back on Wednesday 22nd December and it's set to take us on another adventure.
The plot sees Chicago native, Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, pick up where she left off –gallivanting around Paris with her besties from season one, trying (unsuccessfully) to swerve boy drama and swilling glasses of Bordeaux. This time she heads off to Saint-Tropez for a holiday, so we can expect dreamy beaches alongside panoramic shots of the Eiffel Tower. Sounds exactly like the December escapism we need.

Alongside berets, baguettes, Birkins and some very dashing hommes (that’s err, French for men), there’s the beauty. As with season one, we see Emily's style evolve. Her cheeks become rosier, her hair becomes looser, and her eyeliner becomes smudgier. And, despite being the American in Paris, we've spotted her throwing in a few subtle Parisian twists that we might just pinch ourselves.
These are the French-girl beauty tips to take from season two of Emily In Paris…
1. Berry lips and berets are a dream combo
If you're going to rock a beret (highly recommended), they're best paired with a bold lip over a bold eye as the pop of colour in your hair (that's the beret) and on your lips will help to compliment each other.
2. A low-key ponytail can help elevate an outfit
The Breton stripes get a oui from us, as does this swanky-looking ponytail which upgrades a basic T-shirt from just-casual to smart-casual.
3. Brushed-up, natural looking brows are beautiful
The shape can be a little messy as long as there's volume: the trick is to avoid them looking too ‘done’.
4. A hair tuck is always a good idea
It'll instantly make hair look less "done" and share the spotlight with your ears for once (even better if you're wearing schmancy earrings).
5. Updos don't get much better than this
If you're going to do an updo, this stacked plait is perfect. Even better, pair it with a low-backed dress or shirt, so each get an opportunity to shine.
6. A little colour on lips will make you look more awake
It doesn’t have to be "rouge," a dusty pink, romantic russet or a touch of berry will do the trick.
7. Less is more
A coat of mascara, some groomed brows, a pinch of blusher and and you're ready to roll.
8. Beehives are back
How to keep a beehive looking classic, elegant and as understated as a beehive can be? Add a glossy ribbon.
