Strictly Come Dancing: Tilly Ramsay set for exit after tumbling down leaderboard

STRICTLY COME DANCING is taking no prisoners ahead of the quarter finals, with Tilly Ramsay the new favourite to exit the competition.

Strictly Come Dancing week 10 was a hard fight for Tilly Ramsay and dance partner Nikita Kuzmin. Following their showstopper performance last week, which earned them a staggering 40 points, Saturday’s performance wasn’t so successful. Scoring just 30 points, it sank them down to the bottom of the leaderboard, and now the bookies are hedging their bets against the pair.

Now that the competition is in its 10th week, it is harder than ever to decide who is next to go home.

Ramsay has hit the bottom of the leaderboard following week nine’s game-changing lead.

As such, early predictions have suggested Ramsay is the next to leave the show, with Saturday night’s vote reveal more crucial than ever.

In the latest estimates from Ladbrokes, they have given Ramsay odds of 8/13 to be the next star eliminated from the show.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Tilly Ramsay cooked up a storm on last week's Strictly, but it appears punters have reached boiling point with the young TV chef, who is clear favourite for the chop this time out."

Ramsay and Kuzmin danced the Samba to Levitating by Duo Lipa, but it wasn’t enough to impress the judges.

Craig Revel Horwood said: “I thought it was a little bit awkward on your body and disconnected, and unsteady footing also."

However, Anton du Beke did have some words of encouragement, adding: “Always great energy, good performance, and a good effort, well done.”

Of course, Ramsay isn’t alone in being close to leaving, with Dan Walker once again one of the top favourites to exit the competition.

Walker has been near the bottom of the leaderboard since the start of the season, this week earning 31 points, just above Ramsay’s 30.

Dancing the Rumba to Desperado by Eagles, the judges said it was clunky, but once again thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ladbrokes have given him 11/8 odds to leave, followed by Rhys Stevenson with 10/1.

Yet, on the flip side, the estimates for the overall winner are getting more and more accurate by the week.

Deaf actress Rose Ayling-Ellis is currently the frontrunner to take home the big prize, with odds of 1/5 to win.

Joined by dance partner Giovanni Pernice, the pair have proved to be an inspiration for viewers and the judges, earning the pair 33 points this week.

However, she is not alone at the top, with AJ Odudu in a close second with 7/1 odds of winning.

Taking home 36 points on Saturday’s show, the judges were mesmerised by Odudu’s confident performance.

Finally, John Whaite rounds out the group, with a 8/1 chance of taking the ultimate number one spot.

Whaite and Johannes Radebe got to the top of the leaderboard this week, after narrowly missing the dance-off in week nine.

Scoring 39 points, it was a near-perfect performance as they danced the Argentine Tango to The 5th by David Garrett.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday at 7.20pm on BBC One.
