A young millionaire hotel tycoon collapsed and died at a London address, a matter of weeks after getting married in a glamorous Sikh ceremony.

Vivek Chadha died in central London in the early hours of Sunday morning, just hours after the 33-year-old was spotted partying at the exclusive Annabel’s nightclub, in Mayfair.

Mr Chadha was closely linked to the Conservative Party and ran the multi-million-pound Nine Group, which had extensive hotel and property interests.

Back in 2015, aged just 26, Mr Chadha donated 100,000 pounds for the statue of Mahatma Gandhi planned for Parliament Square in London, becoming the youngest donor.

Just less than two months ago, Mr Chadha married 29-year-old Stuttee Chaddha in a glamorous ceremony at the five-star JW Marriott Grosvenor House hotel, on London’s Park Lane.

A week of festivities had reportedly followed the ceremony.

Speaking to MailOnline, Stuttee Chaddha said there were “no words” to describe what has happened.

“I'm in shock and still trying to make sense of it,” she said.

'We only got married eight weeks ago and it was beautiful. Now I'm having to deal with the loss of the love of my life. I'm stunned and heartbroken.'

A post-mortem to establish the causes of Mr Chadha’s death was likely, given his age and that he did not appear to have any known underlying health issues.

However, sources close to him indicated he had died from natural causes.

A source close to him said he had not died at his own London address, but instead at another location.

From the looks of accounts from Companies House up to December 31, 2019, Nine Estates Limited had made 2.5million in revenue over the previous two years, with a £1.3million gross profit.

UK hotels owned by Nine Group included the four-star London 02 Arena Hotel, as well as four Holiday Inn franchises.

Nine Group also owns a pub, the Halt and Pull in Horley, Surrey, and had recently struck a franchising deal with restaurant chain Pizza Hut.

Mr Chadha’s widow was currently with dozens of relatives and her late husband’s parents, Gursharan, 61 and Jasbir, 58 at their country home in Iver, Berkshire.

Jasbir said the couple were in “total shock”.

It was too early for them to pay tribute to their son, he said, as they were in “too much pain”.

According to friends of the businessman, Mr Chadha’s family had not yet been informed as to the cause of death.

Mr Chadha divided his time between Berkshire, where he stayed at the family home, and London.

He regularly visited Conservative Party functions, and had known the likes of David Cameron and Theresa May.

He was known for his business nous, having won the 'Rising Star' award at the Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards in 2017, in recognition of his work.

He founded the Nine Group with his father in 2012, helping to establish it as one of the largest private hotel companies in the UK.

The group is now the owner of 18 hotels across the country and employs more than 800 people.
