Parts of the UK are set to be drenched by 12 hours of heavy rain on Sunday as the weekend ends in an almighty washout for many.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for much of England, which means transport could be disrupted and flooding is on the cards.
The east of the country is expected to be the hardest hit by the downpours, all the way from Newcastle upon Tyne in the north down to Brighton in the south.
The heavy showers are expected to really kick in around midday and continue until midnight before easing early on Monday.
Other parts of the country will see drier conditions but temperatures will struggle to get out of the teens.
It's a far cry from Saturday, which saw dry and sunny conditions in much of the UK with Brits enjoying an Indian summer high of 23C in some areas.
And next week isn't expected to be much better as it stands, with conditions becoming more unsettled as the week goes on.
A Met Office spokesman said: "There is a fair amount of rain the forecast. A bright start to Sunday morning, especially the further east you are.
"But it's not going to stay like that with rain moving eastwards during the course of the morning and the afternoon.
"That rain will become heavy in the early afternoon across many eastern areas.
"Temperatures are generally a notch down on Saturday so a cooler day for many with highs of 18 or 19 perhaps a 20 in the far south.
"On Sunday evening that rain will continue to affect many in the east, brightening up from the west as drier weather moves in.
"Monday sees those showers from the weekend starting to ease, with longer sunny and drier spells developing on Tuesday and Wednesday, turning unsettled later in the week."

Sunday:
Bands of cloud and patchy rain edging east, with heavy, perhaps thundery, downpours likely across parts of eastern England later.
Further west it should gradually turn drier and brighter.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Showers in places Monday, but most areas dry with sunny spells.
Mostly fine and dry Tuesday before outbreaks of rain spread southeastward Wednesday.
Strong winds in the north at times.
