The Loose Women panellists have praised Katie Price after her documentary with her son Harvey, with the stars hailing her as an ‘incredible mother.’

Ruth Langsford, Gloria Hunniford, Linda Robson and Janet Street-Porter supported the reality star after her programme Harvey and Me showed her looking for a residential college for her 18-year-old son.

Gloria said she hopes the documentary has shown people a ‘different side’ of Katie, adding: ‘For 18 years she has loved and cared for that boy — she has a real knack of settling him and dealing with him which i find very, very emotional.’

She added: ‘It must be a nightmare for Katie trying to find a placing suitable for Harvey.’

Ruth pointed out: ‘There’s no doubt that her love and care and attention is unwavering for that young man.’

Janet, whose stepson has cerebral palsy, said she wished the documentary had shown even more of the challenges Katie has to face, although Ruth pointed out it was a ‘snapshot’ of what she faces on a daily basis.

She added: ‘She’s got to impose rules on someone who doesn’t really understand why they’re being imposed

‘I thought it was really impressive she got him to cook, she got him to change his bed, well done Katie.’

Ruth finished the segment by sending love to Katie and telling her: ‘We know what an incredible mother you are and our love to you.’

The deeply personal hour-long film followed the model and Harvey on their journey to find him a residential college – and fans were quick to shower her with their respect.

Not only did the documentary show Harvey and Katie as they explored the options of further education colleges, but it also unveiled their day to day lives.

In one scene, the 42-year-old, who has four other children – Princess, Junior, Bunny and Jett – helped to calm Harvey down as he started panicking about a door banging.

While another saw her unveiling the damage he had done to her house by punching the walls.

The mum-of-five has since thanked fans, tweeting: ‘I wanted to say thank you so much to @bbcone @Minnow_Films and the general public for all your support in the lead up to #HarveyandMe and the incredible feedback tonight.

‘This really has been such an amazing journey for Harvey and myself, and I want to continue the conversation surrounding the difficulties that parents of children with complex needs face, and help parents going through a similar situation.

‘Thank you all so much x.’

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV. Harvey and Me is available for catch-up on BBC iPlayer.
