Residents of a storm-stricken home have been urged to evacuate after fears of a 'landslip' after torrents of rain battered Britain this week.
Storm Christoph unleashed lashings of rain over the last days and thousands have been forced to flee their homes in parts of the country.
For one property in West Yorkshire emergency services have issued a warning over reports of land slipping, Yorkshire Live reports.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 6.12pm on Wednesday after fears were raised over the precarious position of the homes.
The houses, on Manchester Road, Slaithwaite, back on to the River Colne and upon arrival fire crews told the occupants of one property close to the area to spend the night at another location as a precaution.
One of the houses, pictured perilously close to the exposed land, is believed to currently be un-occupied.
It had been listed for sale on rightmove.co.uk but was taken down from the site yesterday.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "One fire engine from Slaithwaite Fire Station attended and investigated the safety of the area and nearby houses.
"Residents in one property near the area were advised to move to an alternative location for the night as a precaution until further investigations could be carried out in daylight.
"Crews and partners have returned again today to assess the area and have now left the scene while the Council continue their work."
Surveyors from Kirklees Council also returned to assess the site yesterday.
A council spokesperson said: "There does not appear to be any evidence of further land movement, which would suggest an immediate danger to the property, we have spoken to the property and landowners and advised them of their options to fully assess what action may be necessary.
"We have limited actions available to us in respect of landslips, however we sympathise with the residents. As this remains a concern, we will continue to provide support and advice where possible.”
