Coleen Rooney celebrates 12 years of marriage to Wayne with loved up wedding throwback snap
COLEEN Rooney is celebrating 12 years of marriage to footballer Wayne.
The mother-of-four marked the occasion with a loved up throwback snap of their wedding night.
The couple who tied the knot in a £5m extravaganza in Italy, were all smiles in the dancefloor picture taken towards the end of the evening.
Coleen is grinning holding a glass of bubbly, while her other hand is lovingly placed on Wayne's neck, pulling him in for a hug.
In turn, Rooney also has a drink in one hand and wraps his other arm around his new wife's waist.
Coleen captions the image with the words: "Happy anniversary @waynerooney.... 12 years since that unbelievable celebration. I love you x".
After marrying in 2008, the 34-year-olds are now proud parents to four sons, 10-year-old Kai, seven-year-old Klay, four-year-old Kit, and Cass, two.
Fans rushed to congratulate the pair on social media and one said: "Stunning Bride 🌟 Happy Anniversary 💫"
Another added: "Congratulations❤️ Coleen you've not change one bit looking fab 👏" and "Happy anniversary hope you both have a lovely day 🍾🥂".
One person commented: "Happy anniversary guys well done for sticking at it through all the tough time’s hope you have many more happy years to come ❤️".
The couple's well-documented relationship has had its rocky moments over the years, but The Sun Online recently revealed that lockdown life had caused Coleen to "fall in love all over again" with her husband and that their marriage was "stronger than ever".
Coleen and Wayne met when she was just 12 years old, and got married 17 months before they welcomed their first child.
A source told The Sun Online: "Wayne and Coleen Rooney are stronger than ever after spending lockdown together.
"This is the longest time they have spent together uninterrupted since they got married, and Coleen has fallen in love with Wayne all over again.
"She says that she now remembers what a wonderful, caring companion he is - and an amazing dad to the boys."
The insider continued: "They've been through the mill, but the last couple of months have been a revelation to them all.
"It's going really well and truly bonded them as a loving, family unit."
Wayne and Coleen's romance has been dogged with controversy over the years, with Coleen left fuming in 2017 when her husband was caught in a car with party girl Laura Simpson and tested positive for drink-driving.
The following year, Coleen sensationally ditched her wedding ring as she flew to the US to demand Wayne ended his DC United contract early and returned home after he was spotted laughing and joking with another woman after a boozy night out.
