Paul Sinha: The Chase star shares rare wedding day clip 'Reminding myself how happy I was'

PAUL SINHA - who is best known as The Sinnerman on The Chase - has shared rare footage from his wedding to husband Olly Levy which shows the couple hilariously attempting to sing a duet, as the quizzer admitted he is trying to remind himself of "how happy he was".

The Chase star Paul Sinha, 50, has given his 155,000 Twitter followers a rare insight into his wedding day with husband Olly Levy. The quizzer tied the knot with his long-term partner in December last year and reminisced on the occasion by sharing a video from the couple’s big day this afternoon.

Paul, who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, explained to fans that by watching the funny drunken video of himself and Olly attempting to sing a duet, he is reminding himself of “how happy he was” at the time.

Alongside the clip, The Sinnerman star wrote: “I’ve been trying to load this for a while.

“0130 my wedding. Our plans to perform The Impossible Dream in alcoholic ruin.

“I don't know any of the words. Just keep reminding myself how happy I was. An epic yawn from one of my mates.”

The pair could be seen performing a rendition of The Impossible Dream by Andy Williams in the heartwarming video.

Looking dapper in their wedding suits, the duo cuddled each other as they sang along to the lyrics and swayed to the music as their guests watched on.

The camera also zoomed in on their friends, who all drunkenly sang along with the newlyweds while holding their drinks in the air.

Fans took to the comments section of Paul’s post to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: “Hahaha that's class. How every good wedding should end.”

Another added: “Absolutely brilliant to see you both so happy.”

In spite of the adorable moment, Paul previously admitted he had an “absolute breakdown” when his plans for a visual accompaniment to his wedding playlist went awry.

The general knowledge expert wrote on his blog: “I am about to have an absolute breakdown, when a friend takes me outside the pub, and says, ‘This is your wedding. Things go wrong.

“'When I got married, you wouldn’t believe how many things went wrong. This is your day. These are your people. Now, go out there and enjoy yourself’.”

He continued: “At this point, I saw my husband. I said, ‘Is there any chance these visuals are going to work?’. He replied, ‘I’ve grown weary of the fight’.

“And I looked in his eyes, and I pondered the sheer effort that both of us had put in. And I thought to myself, ‘I am going to get absolutely s**t-faced’.”

The TV personality explained: “The realisation that, in the overall scheme of things, the failure to provide a visual accompaniment to the playlist was about the hundred-and-seventeenth most important priority for me.

“Suddenly, I was able to forget my troubles, and effortlessly glide through the company of three-hundred beloved guests.

“The entertainment ended with me and Olly, stood on chairs, destroying Carter USM’s excellent cover of The Impossible Dream. Best of all, when I woke up the next morning, I realised: I hadn’t thought about my Parkinson’s once.”

Paul told fans about his Parkinson’s diagnosis in May 2019 and he declared he would fight the disease “with every breath”.

He added in a blog post, that after facing the initial “shock” of his diagnosis, he “feels far more prepared for the new challenges ahead” with a treatment plan.
