The coronavirus pandemic is upon us, and many of us are having to work from home or, at the very least, spend a a lot more time behind closed doors. If there is one positive that can be drawn from the lockdown it is that its come at a time that it is traditionally associated with spring cleaning.

Yep, that’s right the ‘keep calm and carry on’ mentality of British folk will mean the upcoming weeks will still be a time when the marigolds go on, the elbow grease comes out and we all do our best to make our homes sparkle.

One woman has been using the time to clean and posted her tip on how to tackle the bathroom tiles and transform your floor online.

She posted the hack to the Facebook group, Mrs Hinch Cleaning tips, which is populated with people who are fans of social media cleaning sensation Sophie Hinchcliffe, and wrote: “Before and after on our bathroom! This took nearly 3 grout pens but looks a lot better.”

Grout Pens do not actually clean the dirt away, but rather they conceal it. Using ink they cover up stains using including the everyday mould or dirt that builds up on the grout in between your tiles.

On Amazon they are currently priced at £3.81 with free delivery, so to use three to cover a whole bathroom would cost just over a tenner; worth it considering the results!

The bathroom floor looks incredible and many were amazed with one group member writing: “That’s lovely. Makes a massive difference. The original colour probably was very clean just dark grout.

“It’s amazing the difference white grout and dark. Looks like a new floor.”

If you are looking to give your bathroom a blitz during lockdown, why not use the method Mrs Hinch herself recently shared to her 3.2 million followers: a ‘clockwise clean’.

Posting a picture of her cleaning basket the blonde bombshell captioned it: “I tell you what I haven’t done for a while .. a clockwise clean! So that’s exactly what I’m gonna do!”

She then continued: “I put everything in my basket that I know I’ll need.. and the room I’ve chosen is the dining room..”

Sophie then went on to explain the method over a video of her beginning to get to work on the room, writing: “Clockwise clean! Get your hinching basket out, walk into the room and start to your left (that’s 12 o’clock) work your way round the room (1,2,3 o clock) and then end up back where you started!!

“I love these cleans because I know I haven’t missed one thing in the room”.
