Thai protesters, police clash near base of army unit controlled by king

BANGKOK: Police used water cannon and tear gas against protesters in Bangkok on Sunday , outside a military barracks containing the Thai prime minister's residence.

People watch as protesters take part in a demonstration while preparing to march towards the residence of Thailand's Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in Bangkok on Feb 28, 2021. Scuffles broke out between riot squad officers and protesters, while some demonstrators were seen pushing a police truck.
