Most of Singapore's 300,000 migrant workers are still not permitted to leave their dorms except to go to work, and cannot mix with the general public. Restrictions have been ongoing since April 2020. COVID19

Migrant workers shopping at Little India amid a pilot programme to allow fully-vaccinated migrant workers back to the community in Singapore.

The Ministry of Manpower said in a media release on Friday that from 30 October, up to 3,000 vaccinated migrant workers from dormitories without COVID-19 clusters will be able to visit the two districts each week, for up to eight hours per visit.

Since the pilot began on 13 September, around 700 migrant workers from 30 dormitories have visited Little India for six hours per visit. None of the participants have tested positive for COVID-19 thus far.

Wats the point of a new normal....endenmic post pandenmic n stabilization phase if nobody can mingled n mixed around with health protocol in place.....u tell me Wheres the logic......it is as good as a prison sentence with no parole in sight.

Cruel. If fully vaccinated they should not be treated like prisoners.
