SINGAPORE — A man who was not vaccinated against Covid-19 will be charged in court on Friday after he allegedly dined at a hawker centre without a cleared status and punched enforcement officers who checked on him.
Investigations revealed that two National Environment Agency officers were conducting checks at the hawker centre and found that the 53-year-old man was unvaccinated. Under current Covid-19 measurements, unvaccinated and partially vaccinated individuals are not allowed to dine in at hawker centres and other food establishments. They are only allowed to buy food as take-away.
Those who enter and dine at a food centre without having a cleared status can be imprisoned for up to six months or fined up to S$5,000.
No one is above the law. Everyone is trying so hard to keep the infection rate down and some irresponsible people just simply ignored. Time to make the LAW clear!!! You break it, you take it!
