Trump says China should treat HongKong 'humanely' before trade deal can be agreed

WASHINGTON - US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that China wants to make a trade deal but it should treat Hong Kong"humanely" first.

Earlier, a State Department spokesperson voiced concerns about the"continued erosion" of Hong Kong's autonomy and expressed"staunch" support for freedom of expression and peaceful assembly in the territory.
