A short clip has been circulating social media today, showing 10 seconds’ worth of reasons not to dash across the road when the light isn’t in your favor. The viral video, posted on the Roads.sg Facebook page, was contributed by a witness who reportedly saw the accident take place along Lower Delta Road towards the AYE today at 9am.

According to the witness, the school boy had raced across the road with his backpack when the red pedestrian man was showing, and ended up getting hit by a car on the last lane. Flung to the ground, the student appeared to be able to sit up as the vehicle came to a stop. Stomp said the police confirmed they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a pedestrian on Lower Delta Road towards Telok Blangah Road at 9am, and investigations are ongoing.
