SINGAPORE: The decision to divest Singapore Press Holdings' of its media business will balance the"conflicting expectations" of the public who reads its news products, as well as its shareholders and business partners, said chairman Lee Boon Yang on Thursday .
Dr Lee said that SPH provides credible news and information to the public, including in the vernacular languages to serve Singapore's multi-ethnic communities. "So we have to balance sometimes conflicting expectations among stakeholders. This outcome that we are proposing is ... the most appropriate and balanced result for everybody."
He promised that SPH Media will produce"responsible, objective and accurate journalism" under the new structure. He added that for shareholders, this restructuring will reduce the"drag" the media business may have on the firm in the future.
its about time u go the way of the dodo. my staff at work would be fired if they even wrote emails like the way u write stories. only thing worse than a bad opinion is no opinion, passing off as 'factual reporting'

Why heading so complicated. Just said SPH media business will soon be 'nationalised' isnt it?
Publishing more articles with differing views and being more objective will help. Also, if SPH media chooses to pander to every complaint, then it is hard to give views of different perspective.
Losing a shit ton of money? No problem, just transfer to a “Non-profit” entity naiise_
