Of the new cases, 41 are imported and had travelled to Europe, North America, ASEAN and other parts of Asia, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in a press release.AdvertisementAdvertisementFifteen of the cases are linked to clusters or previous cases, while 14 cases are currently unlinked. Contact tracing is ongoing.

Fifteen more patients were discharged from hospital, meaning 198 people have fully recovered from COVID-19 in Singapore.DEFER NON-ESSENTIAL TRIPS TO MALLSOn Saturday, Singapore authorities urged people in a WhatsApp message to stay at home and only visit malls for essentials, like food.

AdvertisementAdvertisementThis comes a day after large crowds were seen outside malls, as mall operators implemented stricter safe-distancing measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.The Government also called on foreign workers and foreign domestic workers to stay in on their rest days and avoid gathering in public spaces, and reminded Singaporeans to stay 1m away from each other, and to avoid gathering in public spaces and visiting crowded areas.

Stiffer regulations that came into effect at 11.59pm on Thursday introduced jail terms and fines for individuals, event organisers and owners of premises who flout safe-distancing measures, as stipulated by the COVID-19 multi-ministry taskforce.Under the new measures, gatherings outside of work or school have to be limited to 10 people, who must maintain 1m distance from each other. This applies to settings where"interactions are non-transient", like shopping centres, supermarkets and restaurants.

Owners of premises and event organisers have to ensure that non-fixed seating is at least 1m away from any other seat at all times. If seats are fixed to the floor, owners have to ensure that customers sit only on alternate seats.READ: Jail terms, fines for those who breach COVID-19 safe-distancing rules, stay-home notice

Where queues form at public places, such as retail stores and supermarkets, individuals have to stand a metre apart from each other.Businesses owners and event organisers who ignore these regulations may be jailed up to six months, fined up to S$10,000 or both.

Welpp People need to start wearing masks again. Little protection is better than no protection. Imagine an infected persons saliva coming at you, would you rather it land in your mouth or on the mask? Don't be ashamed to protect yourself, if masks don't work, no one will be using them People need to understand social distancing . It doesn’t mean you can go out and distanced . It means go out when necessary and distanced. Young people learn to StayAtHome

Honestly, it will be 'The End' if trend goes on like this . As a country with highest population density, we r v vulnerable to the spread. Take stringent measures as a warning sign for ignorent carefree people

Not that easy to lockdown though. All SGians need to do is to follow what measures the givt has put in place and read in between the lines. Limited number of seats at places like restaurants and malls means 'sit at home' and what u all doing? Go to malls and still go eat :( MOH - Do we have sufficient surgical masks supply in Singapore for everyone to put on a mask in public areas? If not, should we increase our resources to manufacture the masks required to save lives? Currently, masks r vy expensive in SIN.

I think lockdown is going to happen only when the death rate is high. All the keyboard warriors/experts out here in full force talking mad. I'm tired of whining Singaporeans. EVERY single person has to do their part. The government advises you not to gather in big groups but you CBs never listen. Be a responsible individual first and foremost.

Wear mask only if u are sick! Good luck! Sacrifice foreign patients lives by closing the border is inhuman act Unknown cases increasing day by day 😔😔 Median incubation period of Covid 19 is around 5-7 days. The unlinked cases we see today are likely being infected 1 week ago. Not a surprise since many travellers returned from US UK EU before SHN was put in place.

Can we follow like how Wuhan did? After lock down, now they are free from covid. Perhaps, it could be a solution for our country? Just putting it out here... Dorscon orange. But it's probably a very dark shade of orange already. Looking at those ppl who still go out as normal despite gov advisories makes me think that more drastic measures would be taken next week..

Government very clever one , those measures they implemented , we can call it mini restriction order , withut disrupting life as a whole , food court one table sit 2 person instead of 4 , must well tell me ta pao LOL .... brilliant . Omg! Its scary. The numbers keep increasing everyday. Wait till that someone from that someplace get infected.. Then it’ll be officially red. Otherwise, check out from official website what does red means.

There are advantages of lockdown such as a chance of lowering the infection rate etc. However, if a lockdown is annouced wont there be more ppl going to panic buy and hoard agn ? Meaning more ppl ignoring the stay home advice and going grocery shopping NO MORE Long term pass holders please! Jia You Singapore! 🇸🇬

Anyone Is ready for LockDown? I can’t believe Malls, Gyms, Schools, Food Courts are still open! What are we waiting? Let’s take a decision while the hospitals can still cope with the active cases. We cannot get out of control to a point where the hospitals won’t be able to handle the cases. Please enforce WFH and not just an advisory for non-essential workplace/services. Too many selfish people out in the streets, even after the enforcing of safe-distancing measures, people simply don't give 2 Fs about it.

Social distancing measures works ...... Keep that going Singapore !!! Keep a distance for now , endure another 14-21 days , will show some positive results still no lockdown...... I don't believe the cases in singapore in 1 day so little as Singapore is Southeast Asia financial hub Btw please ask the police to patrol neighbouring areas as i still see students(more than 10) hanging out at void decks, please do your job.

Huh ...... 41 imported case and and 29 local transmissions , 15 connected to cluster , i can say just 14 of us on the street getting caught without a lockdown LOL , ridiculous . Relax we be fine , as long as u follow simple instruction , help us , u ok , i be ok , i ok , u be ok 😱! The local unlinked cases never drop. it’s really worrying. I pity the 1 yr old British gal, she is a toddler n her immunity very weak. Hope our medical teams can save all these infected patients! 💪. Let’s have hope, we can make it n pull through.🙏 Majula Singapura 🇸🇬🦁!

Oh no yikes it' s terrible. can Singapore 's healthcare system afford a huge amount of patient suddenly? feeling worry abt the capacity of their hosptial Don't wait until local spreading spins out of control then start to lockdown. Government can just lockdown for 2 week first to access the curve. Do something about it lah!

Singapore is loosing control! Food courts still open as usual, schools open, malls, metro rides full ... when in hell is going to lock down?! So how to practice social distancing in public transport? Especially during peak hours? In Indonesia 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 My god...please implement online classes and wfh measures. Alr so many people kenna leh.

wth.. still dont close.. waiting for christmas or chinese new year? Now is a good time to close the schools please before youths get infected too
