SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 125 new COVID-19 infections as of noon on Thursday , including 21 community infections, the Ministry of Health said.AdvertisementA 38-year-old male Bangladeshi national who tested positive for COVID-19 died on Tuesday. The man was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital on Jun 28 after suffering a seizure, and subsequently developed intracranial haemorrhage.
The 21 new community cases include three Singaporeans, a permanent resident, three work pass holders and 14 work permit holders. The other two cases were swabbed as part of MOH's efforts to screen individuals working in frontline COVID-19 operations. The other five cases were all asymptomatic, and were detected during proactive screening of workers in essential services.The 23-year-old permanent resident was placed on a stay-home notice upon arrival in Singapore from India on Jun 23.The remaining cases are 103 work permit holders living in foreign worker dormitories. No new clusters were identified.MOH reported that 322 more COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.
