Police investigating abuse of COVID-19 safe-distancing officer at Lau Pa Sat

The officer had explained the new rule to a group of diners during the dispute, as seen in a video of the incident posted by Max Mamba in the Facebook group Complaint Singapore.Advertisement"Listen to me first," the officer said, prompting a man from the group to shout:"Who are you to ask me to listen to you?"

In the nearly three-minute-long video, several profanities are heard - some appearing to target the officer."Police investigations into an offence of verbally abusing a public servant who was performing his duties as a safe distancing enforcement officer are ongoing," it added.

What can restaurant owners do in these situations. Deny them entry thus inviting ugly scenes or call the law enforcers.

These selfish people are the cause of others losing jobs and causing deaths of others.

Must fine and jail for such nuisance creator. Think he got BIG shot.

This probably the reason why some safe distancing officers are reluctant to tell ppl off when they're wrong. Either way, you get abused. Isn't time that ppl should feel the full force of the law for not adhering to the safe distancing policy as well as the abuse of the officers?
