NEW YORK - Unvaccinated children from 5 to 11 years old were hospitalised with Covid-19 at twice the rate of vaccinated children during the winter Omicron variant surge, the Centres for Disease Contr

ol and Prevention reported Tuesday .

Black children in the 5-to-11 age group accounted for about one-third of unvaccinated children in the study, the largest of any racial group, and made up roughly one-third of overall Covid-19-related hospitalisations within the age group. "Increasing vaccination coverage among children, particularly among racial and ethnic minority groups disproportionately affected by Covid-19, is critical to preventing Covid-19-associated hospitalisation and severe outcomes," the CDC study said.

Asian children tended to have the highest vaccination rates, the analysis found, and Hispanic children were inoculated at rates lower than or similar to those of white children. The CDC study covered the period from mid-December to late February, during which about 400 children were hospitalised with Covid-19 at the select hospitals participating in the study. Almost 90 per cent of them were unvaccinated.

Bullshit. Children in that age group are at no rick from Omicron, just like everyone else. It's just a cold. Vaccinating children with drugs that are in the trial phase is abuse.
