Now is not the right time to take a gamble & remove Covid-19 vaccination differentiated measures: Ong Ye Kung

Throughout the pandemic, two-thirds of our ICU beds were occupied by people who were not fully vaccinated.

In addition, the data also show that unvaccinated individuals are at a far higher risk of falling ill or dying from Covid-19 infections, and the risk increases with age."Specifically, the chances of unvaccinated individuals falling severely ill or dying are, for those in their 60s, 7.2 per cent; for those in the 70s, 14 per cent; for those 80 and above, 24 per cent," Ong added.

In contrast, the risk for fully vaccinated individuals in their 80s is"only 3 per cent".Not the 'right time' to remove VDSUsing the dataset, Ong said it is"not correct" to say the load on our healthcare system caused by the unvaccinated will not be significant and that the VDS are necessary.

Untenable position since the sporeMOH is not willing to impose a vaccine mandate. sporeMOH maybe you want to confirm the criteria for removing all restrictions. If you don't announce those criteria, how do you expect Singaporeans to work towards a goal without goalposts? It has never been a right time to gamble with anyone's lives, no matter how 'benefits outweigh the costs'.

I'm glad to see more Singaporeans are seeing what VDS really is. A discrimination to exercise authoritarian control over us. Hopefully more people can speak up I suppose you think that you're smarter now than everyone else? Have you read any articles such as this? Or do you simply ignore these as noise?

Gamble with an experimental gene therapy drug with unknown long term side effects on the whole population including kids against a flu with 99% recoverable rate is perfectly OK. VDM is just an excuse to implement endless vaccination for all civilians. Unboosted= no freedom. When does this end? How does the risk vs benefit make sense given Omicron is milder than flu yet still need booster which may damage autoimmune system in long term? 🧐

Other countries are starting to eliminate vaccine pass/mandates and differentiated measures (e.g. UK). New data from Omnicron has given them confidence to do so. Will Singapore continue to be practical like usual and use new scientific data? I hope so. The VDS is never meant to be removed. Covid as a cover to implement VDS. Now the Unvax will be isolated from community. Next VDS on Public Transport. Lets see that happening soon. All about C O N T R O L.

Blah blah blah.....

Guess those Fools at the top will never admit their FAILURES! 😷 already... 💉 already... what else? Hide in a cave? We knw this is not gonna end..what's the purpose of updating the numbers everyday.. 😨

And very likely for Omicron, it may turn out the same way," Ong said. "Our response must be scientifically backed up," he said. While the Omicron variant appears to be less severe than the Delta variant, Ong said that"now is not the right time to take a gamble to remove VDS". "We cannot gamble on the health of S'poreans," he added.
