LONDON - Thousands of people chanting"no justice, no peace" and"black lives matter" gathered in central London on Wednesday to protest after the death of American George Floyd in the United States city of Minneapolis, Reuters reporters said.

Many of the protesters wore red and face masks. Some waved banners with slogans such as:"The UK is not innocent: less racist is still racist" and"Racism is a global issue". Others chanted"George Floyd" and"black lives matter".

His death unleashed long-simmering rage over perceived racial bias in the US criminal justice system. In the US, many protesters ignored curfews overnight.

There must be racism in these western democracies. Perhaps no black folks has ever died in the hands of police officers. But systemic and structural racism persists. What are those citizens doing about that? Why just the focus on racism in the US

When the Hong Kong thuggish police slaughtered Hong Kong people fighting for democracy, none of the left in the West demonstrates for them; when the virus was used by the CCP to massacre all mankind, none of the left in the West demonstrates for them.
