While the ride-hailing company has apologised and disciplinary action was taken, many netizens felt that Gojek did not go far enough.

The driver, Dennis Seah Miang Tiak, had been asked for a pick-up at 316 Jurong West Avenue. And although he indicated that he had arrived at the location, when @Decibels_ilu when to check, he was nowhere to be found, even on the main road.

He then placed a call to the driver to ask him where he was, but Mr Seah behaved in an unacceptable manner. He then told the driver:Furthermore, the poster later heard from Gojek that the driver refused to apologise, and so he initiated an apology, as he had said some words in the heat of the moment.

While Gojek said that the driver eventually apologised and was given three demerit points, the poster asked the company to keep an eye on Mr Seah’s behaviour.
