1 Jun – Over 2,600 artists from Hong Kong and 110 arts and culture groups within the city have expressed their support for the controversial national security legislation for Hong Kong.

It read,"For the National People's Congress's decision to legislate on Hong Kong's national security issues, as a member of the Hong Kong cultural and performing arts community, we have the following statement: We fully understand the importance of maintaining national security in Hong Kong, and support the National People's Congress' decision on Hong Kong's national security legislation.

Among other celebrities who were listed in support of the legislation include Kara Hui, Dada Chan, Eric Tsang, and Liza Wang.
