SINGAPORE: A man was fined S$3,000 on Wednesday for importing 456kg of coriander without the proper permit.
The vehicle contained consignments of fresh fruits and vegetables from Thailand, said the SFA prosecutor. Goh had imported vegetables into Singapore for several years and"should have known" that he needed permits for each consignment of vegetables, said the prosecutor."456kgg is not a small amount that can be dismissed as a simple oversight," he said, noting that they were mixed with other types of vegetables.The coriander were seized and destroyed four days later.
