“This new party will be inclusive and moderate. We believe that all Malaysians deserve equal treatment,' said Mahathir.

Malaysia’s former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad announced today that he would form a new political party.

“This new party will be inclusive and moderate. We believe that all Malaysians deserve equal treatment. We will not be tied to other political coalitions, that is Perikatan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan,” Mahathir said, referring to the name of the current government and the former government he had led after winning the 2018 general elections.
