SYDNEY : Hall of Famer Lauren Jackson will end her lengthy international retirement at the Women's World Cup in Sydney next month after being named in the Australia squad for the tournament on Wednesday.

Coach Sandy Brondello said Jackson had done the work to earn her place in the 12-strong Opals squad that will be looking to go one better than the second place finish they achieved at the last World Cup in 2018. "I have been working my body hard, and I didn't honestly know if it was going to hold up to my intense training regime, but it has and I'm feeling good.
