:Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is in advanced talks with Manchester United over a return to the club after negotiations with Manchester City broke down, British media said on Friday.

Sky Italia said Juventus had received a 25 million euro bid from United for Ronaldo, with a two-year contract, worth 480,000 pounds a week, offered to the Portugal forward. "This is why he will not be called up tomorrow. He did not train yesterday. He told his team mates this morning. I am not surprised at anything, in football there is the market and there are the needs of individuals.Earlier, widespread reports in Italian and English media had claimed Ronaldo's agent had already agreed the player's personal terms with City over a move, which would have been controversial given their rivalry with United.

"We've always had good communication," United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said of his relationship with Ronaldo.
