SINGAPORE - La Liga president Javier Tebas insisted on Monday that he was never"seriously worried" that Lionel Messi would leave Barcelona as they have been preparing for an era without the six-time Ballon d'Or winner.
"He's been in this competition for 20 years and as the president of La Liga, I would like him to end his days in our competition. This comes as Messi said last week that he will remain with Barcelona for another year after announcing last month he wanted to leave the club. Tebas added:"It's very difficult to talk about one single player. Ansu Fati started from the bottom in the academy. If he continues what he's doing, like what we've seen so far... He had a great match and I think he's brilliant and got good feet."
