LONDON: A group of influential Arsenal supporters' organisations, fanzines and blogs have joined forces to call for better leadership of the club and have hit out at Stan Kroenke's"passive ownership".
"As Arsenal fans we have watched with frustration as the team's football performances have declined over the past decade," the statement began. Kroenke began investing in the club in 2007 and through his company, Kroenke Sports Enterprises , he continued to increase his stake until he eventually took full ownership of the club in 2018."Off the pitch, fans have never felt more marginalised, less listened to or valued," the joint statement said.
The timing of the statement coincides with Arsenal facing Colorado Rapids, a Major League Soccer franchise also owned by KSE, in their first pre-season match on their tour of the United States on Monday.
