Eight more COVID-19 deaths, 3,445 new cases in Singapore

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 3,445 new COVID-19 cases as of noon on Friday , with eight more fatalities from complications due to the virus.

Seven of the fatalities had various underlying medical conditions, while one unvaccinated case had no known medical conditions.Friday's case count is an increase from the 2,932 infections reported on Thursday. As of Friday, Singapore has reported a total of 141,772 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.Among all COVID-19 community cases that have been onboarded or admitted, 16,513 patients, or about 75 per cent, are undergoing home recovery.The remaining 1,593 patients are currently warded in hospital, mostly for observation, said MOH. Of these, 322 patients need oxygen supplementation and 48 are in intensive care.

Among those who needed oxygen supplementation or intensive care, 49.9 per cent were fully vaccinated and 50.1 per cent were unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.MOH said it is"closely monitoring" three active clusters, including a senior care centre at Buangkok View that is a new addition to the list.

Singapore Health Team not proactive. Everyday people died. Report only. No action. Can you report no. Of daily death. Eg. Out of 15 death yesterday, 8 are due to covid with underlying conditions. Better comparison.

Yeah no need to show figures la. Govt already decide to live with covid. Already said almost all will kena sooner or later. Which means those that survive will survive, those that die will die. This is the plan, living with covid.

This implies around 60-70% people who went to ICU end up dead

If we are not abandon the so called “live with covid” plan, what’s the point of showing the figures?

Will you ever split the numbers of cases into those cases of vaccinated and unvaccinated people? If more severe cases are reported under unvaccinated people every single day, then those still unvaccinated would see the risks and go for their shots.
