'People have eaten worse stuff for shows so I shouldn't be complaining,' the 29-year-old actor jokes to 8days.sg.

And believe it or not, those pineapple tarts, called 'Ah Ma's Pineapple Tarts', on the show, taste just as good in real life.was given a tub of Ah Ma's Pineapple Tarts and let's just say, it was unputdownable.must feel so lucky to get to stuff their faces with the tarts every day at work, right?Last week, the 28-year-old actor took to his Instagram story to share that he's"eaten more pineapple tarts in this show than [his] entire life.

When 8days.sg reached out to Edwin to find out exactly how many pineapple tarts he had to eat for the show, he said:"A lot eh. I mean, in comparison to my real life, it's a lot 'cos I don't eat pineapple tarts. I'm not really into sweet stuff in general.bi hiam, but usually not a lot either 'cos you know when we're filming we need to maintain our figure so I naturally stay away from them. Even my coffee has no sugar," he added.

"At first I was kind of nervous [about having to eat them] 'cos usually the fillings are on top right, and I always hated the look of it. But thankfully the pineapple tarts in the show are shaped differently. And I mean people have eaten worse stuff for shows so I shouldn't be complaining. (My character likes to steal a few pineapple tarts whenever my grandma in the show makes them, so sometimes there are multiple angles and takes and I end up eating quite a few.
