SINGAPORE: A fifth foreign worker dormitory, Tampines Dormitory, has been declared an isolation area to prevent the spread or"possible outbreak" of COVID-19.

READ: Singapore reports a record 287 new COVID-19 cases with more than half linked to dormitory clusterEight more blocks at foreign worker dormitory Sungei Tengah Lodge were also gazetted as isolation areas on Thursday. They are blocks 502, 504, 508, 510, 514, 516, 518 and 520 Old Choa Chu Kang Road.

Singapore has seen a spike in coronavirus cases involving foreign worker dormitories over the past few days.

aiyo , must know government's pattern doing things la ..... they take step by step one , if evidence shows a need , they will isolate base on circumstances . Thats a correct way to do , give some leeways or time for bosses to move their healthy workers out

This is one of the consequences in Singapore for relying on foreign workers. Those rich people and government gains but people suffers. Enjoy CCP Virus.

All dorms should be in isolation till 4 May. Factories and manufacturing plants should also be closed till 4 May for now. Many peoples are still working out there. If wanted to break the chain, since economy is already impacted, government must be decisive.
