Singapore has detected 28 new cases of COVID19 infection, 10 of whom are community cases.

There are 10 new cases of locally transmitted infections, five of whom are linked to previous cases and have already been placed on quarantine or were detected through proactive testing, said the ministry in a news release.

MOH added that there are also 18 imported cases, all of whom have been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon their arrival in Singapore. Of this number, 11 are Singaporeans or permanent residents. , MOH said that a 18-year-old female student from Victoria Junior College was among the seven locally transmitted cases detected earlier that day.

About 2,200 staff, students, vendors and school visitors will also be made to undergo COVID-19 swab testing by Monday.
