China 'open' to Covid-19 investigation; says must be free of 'political interference'

BEIJING - Those throwing mud at the World Health Organization will only leave a stain on themselves, China's foreign minister said Sunday , adding that the country is open to an international investigation on the source of the coronavirus but in process"free of political interference".

United States President Donald Trump threatened last week to pull funding from the WHO, calling it an organisation that only serves China, allegations Beijing has furiously refuted. "At the same time, we believe that this should be professional, fair and constructive. Fairness means the process be free of political interference, respect the sovereignty of all countries, and oppose any presumption of guilt."

Most scientists believe the virus jumped from animals to humans, possibly from a market selling exotic animals for meat in the central Chinese city of Wuhan.

AusHCMalaysia free of any political interference except that which the CCP imposes

Haha, come on China, who you kidding?

That is best!

I think this is just a fair proposal. The US doesn’t want to be told too that Trump is an idiot!!

open? never trust a communist

Ghebreyesus must stand down his position to enable an inquiry free of political interference. China's strong support of his appointment and his subsequent personal interactions with China preclude him.

What China means is free from influence... except from China (cash lure, death threat, silencing)...

LOL

Now all the evidence, virus laboratory samples and staff are disposed of and dealt with, China gives the green light to permit an investigation into the causes of the outbreak and spread of the China virus from Wuhan.
