Meski ia berhasil melahirkan secara normal di Tuban, setelah 1,5 bulan orang-orang terdekatnya memperhatikan bahwa bayinya tampak “membiru”.

“Artinya sistem kita sedang tidak baik-baik saja — sistem pemantauan masa kehamilan maupun pasca melahirkannya,” duganya. Menurutnya, tanpa disadari, kunjungan keluarga dan kerabat untuk menengok bayi dan ibunya dapat menyebarkan COVID-19. “Menyedihkan sekali. Merayakan kelahiran bayi adalah tradisi, dan sulit bagi ibu ataupun keluarga untuk menolak orang-orang yang datang tanpa mematuhi prokes... Tapi, sekarang ini risikonya terlalu besar.

Dalam beberapa pekan terakhir, varian Delta ditemukan pada sebagian besar kasus COVID-19 di Indonesia.
